Wallace is 3

I don't know if it's because he's the middle child (like me) or what, but it is hard to put things about Wallace in writing.  He is something else, that's for sure!  This year with him has been busy, exhausting, hilarious, scary, frustrating, and so very fun.

He's a great sleeper - in his own bed (because he kept jumping out of his crib a few months ago) - with blue stuffed "Bunny, (previously Georgia, doggy, and a book too)" from 7-7 most nights.  Just in the last couple weeks has he started coming downstairs on his own around 7 am and crawling into our bed.  It's pretty sweet.

He's not the best eater - loves anything with sugar in it.  Chocolate bars, ice cream sandwiches, froot loops, cookies, gummy bears, diet coke, and candy are his faves.  He also likes peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, mac and cheese, ABCs, turkey sausage links, pancakes, eggs, strawberries, grapes, oranges, bananas, chicken nuggets, pizza, and spaghetti.

Wallace loves playing his piano, basketball, jumping on the trampoline, cutting with scissors, lighting and blowing out candles, climbing on everything, and jamming to his car head phones singing Bible songs.

I admit it - I am a sucker for all of his mischief, and that sweet smile melts me.  He talks to us like an adult, and so many of his phrases crack me up.

"Oh my gosh" and "what the heck" are a few of his faves that he would just yell from his crib.  One day, a man from Arrow exterminators came to our house while I was in Woods' room rocking him for a nap.  Without hesitation, Wallace opened the door for him and told him "Mommy is rocking Woods."  Thank God the Arrow man was a good honest dude who waited until I came out and said "your 2 old told me you were walking in the woods."

Wallace, we are so incredibly thankful for your sweet little self!

We potty trained you in May, and you caught onto it very quickly.  You love singing songs and doing crafts.  "Hush little baby" is your fave at bedtime.  "Blanket on" and "lay down just a couple more minutes" are your bedtime requests.

You copy everything Wilson does, and it's so stinking sweet.  You made coffee with our Keurig one day in June. You're a genius.

You still drink your "bah bah" every night at bedtime.  You don't miss anything.  Your teachers and I joke about how we can quietly sneak a piece of gum, and you immediately ask "what's in your mouth?"

"What you say, Mommy?"
"let me talk!"
"What's your middle name"
"Tell me a story"

You are hilarious, Wallace!  Thank you, Lord, for this precious 3 year old who keeps us on our toes!  We are forever thankful for his little life.  I pray that God will use his life for His glory.  That strong willed little critter could do some good for His kingdom.

We love you so much, little buddy!
