Easter Lunch at our new house

If there's one thing my family is good at, it's getting together to eat a big meal on the holidays.  We had literally been in our house for about 3 weeks when Easter came around, and they asked if we would host.  Of course, we agreed, especially when my amazing mom and aunts do all the cooking.  We just provide the house!

The boys were excited to find these little baskets on Easter morning.  We did it pretty simple - new sippy cups, toothbrushes, socks, a little candy.

And new swim clothes!

We went to my Uncle Sonny's church for worship that morning before everyone came back to our house for lunch.

My mom made this cake for Wilson, and he ate about 5 pieces of it.

It was a yucky day weather wise, rainy and wet, so we had an indoor Easter egg hunt.

The eggs I hid were empty, but my mom had money in hers...  Of course.

Happy Easter from the Blackwood family!

Christmas Eve at home 2015

We did "pretend" Christmas Eve on Dec. 23 night at home since we stayed at my parent's house on the real Christmas Eve.  I think this was our last year of doing so as Wilson is getting older.  He will be 4 next Christmas so we plan to stay at home for actual Christmas Eve night.

This day was actually quite eventful as Wilson busted his little head open that morning while in his time out chair.  We ended up just doing a little Dermabond on it because I really didn't want to sedate him for stitches.

Anyway, we did gifts with the 4 of us that night.  Wallace loves his new sleep sack!

Wilson loved helping Daddy open presents.

The baseball bat was a hit for both boys.

Caleb's apple watch was a surprise!

Wilson's ornament has his soccer picture in it : )

After the kids went to bed, Santa got to work!

Supper Club, Neighbor Cookies, Gingerbread House, Player Christmas 2015

This first picture is of Wallace getting his first taste of Gigi's Christmas fudge.  Mmmmmm!

We had supper club at Megan's.  The kids sprinkled cookies and loved it.

This crew has gotten big!

We had our fave neighbors over to decorate Christmas cookies one Sunday afternoon.  It was a HIT.

Speaking of cookies - Wilson loves helping me make break and bake ones.

We decided to decorate an unassembled gingerbread house this year.  Best idea yet.

We went to Margie and Irv's house to celebrate Christmas on another Sunday afternoon.  We ate yummy BBQ and enjoyed catching up.
