Wilson 3 1/2 years

Wilson,

Yesterday was your 3 1/2 year old birthday!  I can hardly believe it.  I am loving this 3 year old age.  You are so funny and have us laughing all the time.  You are still super sweet and love to snuggle with Mommy and Daddy.  I know you'll grow out of that one day so I'm enjoying it while I can.

When we snuggle, I love your soft little hands.  You have always loved to hold hands while you fall asleep and right after you wake up.  I hope your future wife is a cuddler who likes holding hands, HA!

At this age, you are REALLY into choosing the clothes you wear.  You are all about some "up pants" aka shorts, even when it's literally freezing outside.  You would live in athletic shorts and tee shirts if we'd let you.  That doesn't really work for anytime we're leaving the house, but you immediately change when we get home.  That's also your pajamas.  Forget the cute PJ's.  It's athletic clothes for you.

You say some of the cutest things right now, and I love how awesome you think Daddy and I are.  If we do something cute like a little craft of you've made something at school, you will say "I hope Daddy's gonna love this!"   You LOVE your Daddy!

Your favorite word is "Booty."  We have had to try to make you stop saying it so much because I'm afraid it may get you in trouble.  You will use it in any context to make somebody laugh.  You are a HAM and love making others laugh.  No idea where you get that from ; )

You now call football "fitball" and you call Elmo "Elimo."

Anything that happened in the past (could have been yesterday), is referred to as "last year" by you.

You ask for pizza almost every night for dinner.  You still love "Bup" aka milk and fresh fruit.  Cinnamon rolls are your fave special treat for breakfast.

You're so great with Wallace, and you are truly becoming helpful.  You watch him for a second here and there, dress yourself, and potty all b yourself now.  I could keep you 3 forever - minus the days when you miss a nap.  Those make for long, crying filled evenings.

We love you to pieces, Wilson!  Please stay sweet and little forever!  Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with this precious boy!

Love, Mommy and Daddy

Happy 3rd Birthday, Wilson!

Wilson woke up 3 years old on August 12, 2015, and he had a fun surprise waiting for him!

Running in to see his b-day present.

Paw Patrol balloon and a Thomas bike!

If we're being totally honest, he was more excited about the balloons than the bike.

Then he opened his birthday cards from us, Gigi and Papa, and Gramme and Papa.

We celebrated with his fave breakfast - sausage balls!

Make a wish!

We love you, Wilson!  We can't wait to see what being 3 is like with you.  We love your happy, cuddly, cautious, shy, fun loving attitude!

Praying for a wonderful 3rd year for you, sweet boy!!!

WIlson's 3rd Birthday Party!

This year was the first time Wilson was interested in choosing the theme for this b-day party.  At first, he wanted a "monsta truck" party, but then he changed his mind to a dump truck party.  So construction theme it was!  We had it on Saturday afternoon from 4-6 at our neighborhood pool.  The weather was perfection, and he had lots of sweet friends and family come celebrate with him.

He loved the party prep, especially filling the dump truck piƱata with candy.

Well sleigh and family arrived early, and these 2 little cuzzos had a blast playing together.

Cake table!

We love Sam's cupcakes, and Cakeheads made this delicious construction cake.

They were my little decorating buddies.

We went pretty simple with food - pizza, fruit tray, veggie tray, and cake.

Construction hats for party favors!

Rachel and Jordan (Side note:  Wilson has a huge crush on Rachel)

Our best attempts at a pic of the 4 of us

Wilson's 2K teacher and now his 3K teacher Miss John came to his party - so sweet!

Our neighborhood buds

Wilson was super shy at his party, even with his girlfriend Emma.

Aunt Jeanie, Bibi, and Gigi with Wallace and Thomas.  We were so glad Bibi happened to be in town to make it by the party.

Wilson still is not a fan of being sung to his b-day.

While I'm not sure how to handle it, I do love this shy baby boy.

Shy, I tell ya.

He started opening up when it was present time though.

Wilson, you are one loved little boy.  We love celebrating you at a special party every year!  I still can't believe you are THREE!
