Jamaica 2016

Caleb and I planned a trip to Jamaica for New Years to celebrate our 7th wedding anniversary as well as Caleb's 30th birthday!  We found out a couple weeks before we left that we are expecting BABY #3!!!  It's crazy exciting and made us even happier about celebrating with a little getaway.

Our neighbors, Matt and Kelly, went with us.

We arrived on New Years Eve, and the Sandals resort was throwing a HUGE party!

The flight and traveling definitely made me tired, but it was so worth it.  Caleb had a private car for us to ride in to the resort, and it was an adventure.  There was an accident on the mountain, and we got to experience lots of locals checking it out!

The weather was perfect for the entire trip.  We enjoyed paddle boarding.  Caleb did some water skiing, too.

The food was AMAZING.

My little 29 year old husband ; )

We had to step away from the sun to watch some UGA football game for a few minutes.

Cheers to 7 years!

Kayaking was so fun!

Our parents split up keeping the kids, and we are very thankful for time away with each other!

Asheville Getaway

For Father's Day, I gave Caleb *free* tickets to tour the Sierra Nevada Brewery just outside of Asheville.  He enjoys a good beer, and the smell of it makes me gag.  So it proves that I really love him ; )  We were both super shocked at how amazing that place was.  It was so pretty as you drive in, and the tour was actually interesting.  I learned more about beer than I ever thought possible.  There was a tasting at the end, and I happily let Caleb taste all of mine.  (Even the cool brewery and gift shop didn't make me cross over to become a beer liker.)

After the brewery, we drove into Asheville to spend the night at the Inn at Biltmore.  The hotel was fabulous with amazing views, a delicious restaurant, and easy access to walk down the mountain to some cute little shops.

We enjoyed a super fancy, delicious dinner, and we ate every bite while it was still hot.  If you have 2 small kiddos (whom we love dearly), you understand how great it is to enjoy a meal with your husband.

Our views out of our room were so pretty.  We had a delicious buffet breakfast Saturday morning before going for a swim in the hotel pool.

After checking out, we went shopping downtown before heading home to the babies.  Thanks, Gramme and Papa, for taking care of our littles while we got away to enjoy some us time.

My Surprise 30th Party

The fact that Caleb successfully planned and pulled off a surprise 30th bday party for me means so much more than the average person could appreciate.  I am ridiculous type A, always planning, and always thinking of every detail.  He knows that so he had to think and plan EXTRA hard.  When he gave me a night away for Mother's Day, I totally bought it and was thrilled.  It was genius for me to arrange to have the kids taken care of, etc.  I seriously did NOT see it coming.  At. All.

He had a lot of help from Anna and Alyssa with guest lists, decorations, etc.

I loved my cake.  Caleb picked it out all himself, and I'm super proud of him.

The tables all had embarrassing pictures of me, which were sadly quite easy to find.

An hour before the party was to start, I was texting Alyssa complaining about how I wish my mom would hurry up and get the kids.  I hadn't even had time to take a shower, and I was just stuffing their faces with food as quickly as possible.  Little did I know my mom was stalling so they could get everything set up.  Then Caleb came home and decided he needed to take a shower, too.  Again, stalling.

We drove down to the club house in our neighborhood, and I honestly had zero idea until we drove up.  I was shocked and so happy to see friends and family standing outside!

Caleb knows I love a good party, and it truly means so much to me that he spent all the time he did planning such a special way for me to celebrate turning 30.

I can't say thank you enough to all the sweet people coming out to celebrate with me.  As I've gotten a little older, 30 to be exact, I have learned how hard it is to find good friends.  I've also learned how hard it is sometimes to get out and make it to events, etc.  The fact that these people were willing to come spend time with me makes me so happy.  I love you all!!

Caleb got some major husband points for planning this special night!  Alyssa and Anna got some major BFF and cousin points, too ; ) Here's to hoping my next 30 years are just as blessed!
