Well, we had another fun weekend! After work on Friday, I judged cheerleading tryouts at one of the high schools in town. Talk about a flashback! It was so sweet to watch all the girls try out, but I felt the nervousness for them. I remember those days when I would go back and just PRAY I'd make the squad after I gave the tryout my all. Prayer worked, haha! There were some very talented girls, and I had a blast helping judge.
Then we were off to Georgia! We got to Caleb's parent's house late Friday night and enjoyed hanging out, chatting, and eating with them. His mom made us some Oooey Gooey bars! I had to let my parents try them today, too, and they love them just as much as I do.
Saturday morning, we participated in a 2 mile walk in Athens to prevent child abuse. It makes me happy to see so many people supporting such a worthy cause, yet so sad to think about the pain some children face. It makes me realize how fortunate I am for the amazing childhood I had.
Here we all are after the race!
Those 2 miles wore Garrison out! So sweet.
Pushing a stroller with a 2 year old in it up hill is quite the workout! Thanks, bud!
Later on Saturday, we were able to see this sweet boy! Ben is crawling!
And man does he love this!
He LOVES for you to hold his hands and walk him around, and you better keep-a-movin'. I'm not so sure I'm ready for him to be walking, but the crawling is cute! He's growing up so fast, and he gets cuter and cuter by the day! We love you, Ben!
Tonight, we came back through the country and stopped at my parent's house for dinner. My dad has a pretty good size HD TV in the living room, and it is hilarious to watch him watch TV. It pains all of us (especially the boys) to not just grab the remote from him when he chooses the NON-HD channels. He can't tell the difference and just would assume watch those. Eventually, we do take it from him and find some good HD movies, shows, etc. He's such a non-technological country boy, haha!
Now it's just time to relax and watch the country music awards! What a great weekend : )
