Wilson's Daddy

Have I mentioned how great of a Daddy Wilson has?  He's one lucky boy.  I knew before we even talked about babies, heck before we were even married, that Caleb would be an incredible father.  You could tell within 5 minutes of talking to Caleb that he has a huge heart, and when he loves something or somebody, he shows it.  He's not ashamed to show his kindness.  When we met way back when at PC, that's the first thing I noticed about Caleb.  We became great friends right away, and he was so quick to do anything to help anybody out.  After our friendship developed into something more, I was able to see even more what a great guy Caleb is.  He literally wanted to spend every second with me, and it meant so much to me.  During our junior and senior years of college, we were both pretty busy with football, cheerleading, school, etc., but we spent every other opportunity together that we could.  You would think it was maybe just the new relationship high, but it continued throughout our year of dating, year of engagement, and first few years of marriage.  Now that we've been married 3 1/2 years and have a baby, it hasn't changed a bit.  Caleb wants to spend every second he has with Wilson and me, and it means the world to us both!

I never have to ask him to hold Wilson, to give me a hug, or to take us out to do something special.  He does it.  Just because.

He took me out on a date last night, and it was SO fun.  We went to one of our favorite restaurants downtown Greenville, Rick Erwin's.  It was delicious, and it was so special to get out just us.  We missed Wilson, of course, but I think it's important to go out as Caleb and Kathryn, taking a small break from being Mommy & Daddy.  (That still sounds crazy to me!)

Wilson stayed home with Gigi, and he had a blast.  They played outside, read a book, took a bath, he ate a bottle of pumped milk (and took it like a champ!).  I don't think he missed us...

But we sure missed him!  And were thrilled, yet exhausted, to come home to this sweet face (and crazy hair!)

Thanks Caleb for being the best husband and daddy we could ask for and thanks Gigi for babysitting the little guy while we had a night out on the town!
