The Playset

Caleb and I decided to give Wilson an outdoor wooden playset for his 2nd birthday, and we hated to wait until August for him to have it.  We are hoping to spend countless hours out there all summer long.
We searched and searched for a good deal on a nice set, and we ended up deciding on the one from Costco.  Several friends warned me that it comes in a million pieces and takes forever to put together.  They were not kidding.  Luckily, Craig and Marcia came up for the weekend so Craig could help Caleb build this thing!

They started in the garage by laying out all the pieces.  It was a bit overwhelming.

Luckily, they surprised Wilson with a new car to keep him occupied during the construction!  Thanks Papa and Gramme!

Once the big pieces were put together, they moved to the back yard.

And this little guy helped out a ton ; )

Poor guys got rained on Sunday morning while they worked.  They were troopers!

Tah Dah!  Almost finished!  Papa Craig was SO much help.  I really think he and Caleb enjoyed building it together.

John came over to help for a little while during Britt's shower, and Jon Michael came over one night to finish it up.  It was a several day project but so worth it.  We are very grateful for all the help!

Unfortunately, Wilson has already learned how to climb all the way up the slide.  Awesome.

Hooray for a new back yard toy!
