You are 4 months old today!!! I can't believe it. I am loving this age. You are truly the happiest, most content, easy going baby. You with the flow no matter what we are doing, and you are such a blessing to our family.
Praise the Lord you seem to be a great sleeper. You go down so easily at night after nursing around 7:30-7:45 and sleep until 5-6 am. I nurse you at 5 or 6 when you wake up, and you go right back to sleep until about 7:30 am. It's AMAZING. You slept 12 straight hours without even that 5-6 am nursing once on March 4. You are a great self soother and fall asleep so easily. If you wanna cuddle though, I happily rock you for a few minutes after nursing. You sleep in your crib in zip up pajamas and a sleep sack. We got rid of the swaddle at 3 months, and you've done great. You had a bit of a hard time for a night or 2, but you transitioned very well.
Naps are pretty good too, but they aren't in your crib like night time sleep. You like your paci for naps. You usually nap in my arms, the bouncy seat, mamaroo, or the swing at daycare. And speaking of daycare, they LOVE you there. I am told by multiple teachers all the time what a great, easy baby you are. I'm pretty sure Mrs. Juliane thinks you are hers, and she loves you so much. That makes me so very happy!
You are smiling and laughing so much now. You love your playmat and bumbo. You eat your hands constantly, bring them to midline, and you drool a good bit just over the past day or 2.
You had an episode of some congestion a few weeks ago, but the humidifier and elevating your crib mattress fixed ya. Your hair cracks me up. You have dark brown hair with this long swoop across the front and a couple of bald spots in the back. It's hilarious. And adorable!
You've been trying to roll back to front, but you aren't quite there. You can roll front to back, but you don't always do it. You have started wiggling around enough to move your body off your playmat. Getting mobile is gonna make things crazy!
Your schedule is something like this:
5-6 am: Eat
7:30am: Wake for the day, nurse if you will
9 am: Nap
10:30-11 am: Eat
4 pm: Nap
5 pm: Eat
7:45 pm: Eat and bed
Breastfeeding is still going really well, and I'm enjoying it so much more this time mainly because I'm more relaxed about it. We are going to start some rice cereal ASAP!
You bring us so much JOY, and we love you to pieces! Thank you, Lord, for blessing us with this precious little miracle! We are forever grateful!
Love, Mommy and Daddy
