What a fast, amazing year it has been! Baby Woods, you are 12 months old (a couple weeks ago). I can't imagine our family without you in it. This year has been challenging for us - physically, emotionally, and all the other ways - but you are the the most wonderful gift from God to complete our family. You are such a great baby (toddler now I guess technically since you walk). The first few months were rough with some reflux issues and then lots of ear infections in the months to follow, but overall, you're a great sleeper, and you roll with our family chaos so well.
12 Month Stats:
Weight: 22 lbs, 62%
Length: 31 in., 91% (tall like your daddy!)
Head Circ: 47 cm, 76%
You took your first 2 steps at Bibi's house on July 13, and you quickly became a walker! You will still crawl on a rare occasion, but you can walk, climb stairs, and step over things as you please. You're tough as nails, which is a blessing because your big brothers think you are as big as they are.
You LOVE fruit of any kind, but blueberries are your fave. You also love GoGo Squeezes and a sippy straw cup with water. You will drink warm milk from a bottle, but you're really okay without it, too. I still give you one at bedtime.
You love to play chase and be silly. Your favorite book is "Smile, Pout Pout Fish," and you demand that I turn the lamp on and read you some books when you wake up in the morning or from a nap. You soothe yourself to sleep while chewing on your sleep sack, and it's adorable. You laugh like crazy at Wilson when he does silly things.
Your curly blonde hair and bright blue eyes own me. You have 6 teeth and a sweet, sweet smile. You love animals, but don't get any ideas. There's no time for a pet around here. Your favorite toys are cooking utensils and steering wheels.
Woods, my prayer is for you to grow to be brave, honest, and a true follower of Christ. I pray that we can raise you in a way that honors Him and that you will have a great relationship with us and with your brothers. We love you so very much!!!
Love, Mommy and Daddy
