Boogie Time!

Sooooo we went to our first dance lesson tonight.  Yay!  Being such a planner, I called the dance studio today to see what we should wear.  I didn't wanna stick out like a sore thumb when we showed up, ya know.  The guy who answered the phone could hardly understand a word I said because of my Southern accent.  The language barrier went both ways because all I heard was "Be comfortable, and no Flip Flops" through his thick accent.

We showed up (15 minutes early, of course) in the completely wrong attire.  I wore some comfy capri pants and a long sleeve shirt.  Caleb wore gym shorts and a t-shirt.  Both of us were in running shoes.  Fit Mr. Accent's criteria, right?  WRONG.  Everybody else was wearing heels and dress clothes.  We stood out like a sore thumb.  BAD.  Oh, well.  You just have to turn on the smile and keep on dancing.  Good thing we had each other to laugh with.

Once we got past that, we learned the FoxTrot and the Rummmmmba!  I much preferred the Rumba because it had some spinning.  We have lessons again next week, and we will be wearing completely different clothes.

Here we are with our sweet instructor, Maria.  She was great, and we enjoyed learning the dances!  I am so excited about going back next week for a little more time to boogie : )

Thank you for a great Valentine's gift, Caleb!
