The Witness

After keeping the nursery at church for the first time on Sunday (oh, my the experience...), we went to Buffalo for lunch and to hang out for the afternoon.  My brothers made their acting debut at the church's Easter play, The Witness, and we watched it Sunday night.

The Witness is an account of Jesus's life through the eyes of Peter.  It shows His birth, miracles He performed, His crucifixion, and most importantly, His resurrection!  It was an amazing story, and everybody did a great job!

Unfortunately, my brothers were the "bad guys," aka the soldiers who helped put Jesus on the cross.  They think they look so tough.

The portrayal of Jesus on the cross was very graphic and eye opening.  He truly suffered, and it served as a great reminder of His sacrifice.

Here's Jesus after His resurrection!  Such a happy time!

We really enjoyed the play and are so happy to celebrate Palm Sunday remembering the true meaning of Easter!

My grandma hosted the after party - we had yummy dinner and dessert at her house after the play.  She made this chocolate pound cake which was yummy.  It's extra special because the cake recipe came from my other grandma, my dad's mom, and the icing recipe is Mama's, my mom's mom.  Isn't that so neat?!

My g'ma and her friends were still going strong after 9 PM when most of the family was ready to head home for the night.  They had a great time, and it makes me so happy seeing her with her friends.

I hope I have such great friends when I'm her age : )
