We took a road trip to North Carolina yesterday for Wilson to meet his great grandpa. The 8 hours round trip in the car (including stops) went a lot better than I anticipated, and it was totally worth it watching these 2 guys together.
Pa went to Duke and is their biggest fan so we tried to dress in Duke gear for him.
Wilson was a little champ for the car ride and behaved perfectly the whole day. I think he liked all the extra attention.
Gramme and Papa Craig help us spoil him.
We had a great visit, but I couldn't help but laugh at how the night came to an end. At 9 pm on a Saturday night, Caleb and I were scarfing down some Bojangles. Wearing matching t-shirts. In a city I don't even know the name of. While the alarm on our car went off. While Gramme and Papa sat in the car with the baby. That's my kind of date night ; )
It was so sweet watching Wilson and Pa cuddle. I think they love each other!
In other news, Wilson is 11 weeks old today. He weighs 13.5 pounds and is filling up his size 1 diapers. He loves his car seat (good thing since we're on the road a lot). He's smiling up a storm. He fights naps, loves eating his hands, and will occasionally give his left arm a hickey during tummy time. He's one strong little dude, and he still likes a feeding (or 2) in the middle of the night. He's becoming more alert of his surroundings, and we love him more by the second!
