Caleb and I have always gone to get our Christmas tree on Thanksgiving day or the day after. We were so excited about getting it the day after Thanksgiving this year at the same place as last year. A sweet family had a tree farm just 1/2 a mile from our neighborhood, and they were so friendly last year. So, the day came, and we headed to the mini tree farm, only to find it wasn't there!!! We were devastated. Luckily, we noticed a church selling Christmas trees on our way home that morning so we drove back to them. They ended up being super nice people, and we were glad we bought it from them!
Wilson was snoozing in the car so we thought it would be a fairly simple tree purchasing experience. See how calm we look here.
Still snoozing peacefully here.
Just seconds later, he woke up screaming mad! He was one hungry boy. It took those men too long to get the tree on top of the car.
Luckily, we all survived, and we had a great time decorating the tree that night. Gigi made Wilson tons of ornaments for our tree this year, and this is one of my faves. Mistle-toes. Those clay shaped feet are actually his. She did his hands, too! So sweet. That's what happens when a 50 something year old discovers Pinterest ; )
So, aside from the meltdown while purchasing the tree, it has been a pleasant experience. We hope Wilson loves all of our decorations this Christmas!
